Do you want to learn how to wire and finish you dollhouse? Then this workshop is for you. This one day course teaches you what you need to know:

Tyes of electrical components used in dollhouses, The different type of light bulbs, plugs and connectors, power supplies and wiring systems. Difference between tape and dual wire tecniques.

-Basic connections- how to wire your dollhouse without having to cut or join a single wire, and also explain why that is not the prettiest way to do it, but can be done.

-plugs and splices- We will cover the thing you need to know to completely wire a dollhouse, installing a basic plug, splicing to make them longer, grouping electrical items together in to a single wire, wiring with canopies that make lights removable on direct wiring if you prefer.

-Planning how to run wires- We will look at how we plan to wire or re-wire a dollhouse, taking into account that you plan for when wiring fails, and at some point it will fail because dollhouses are heirlooms and we build ours to be working for multiple generations.

We look at how the wires are best hidden, and how we can plan grouping electrical items to make installation and trouble shooting in the future easier.

We will also delve into general building techniques, wallpapering, flooring, ceiling decoration as most of these skills go hand in hand wiring your dollhouse.

I will have enough tools for the class but if you wish to bring your ownm I will be happy to help you adjust them. I will also, through out the class, explain which tools I find useful and explain the different levels of complexity and quality of the tool we can use.
